#7 Brush your Pembroke’s teeth at least two or three times a week to remove plaque and bacteria.
Daily brushing is even better to avoid gum disease and bad breath.
#8 Trim your dog’s nails once or twice a month if he doesn’t wear them down naturally.
If you hear the claws clicking on the ground, they are too long. Short, well-trimmed nails keep paws in good condition.
#9 Dog nails have blood vessels in them and if you cut too far you can cause bleeding – and your dog might refuse the next time he sees the nail clipper.
So if you don't have experience trimming dogs' claws, ask a veterinarian or groomer for advice.
