#10 As an independent breed, the Bichon Frize did not exist until the 1920s, when a group of people in France decided to type this category of Bichon into a separate breed with its own special identity.
Since then, Bichon Frize dogs have acquired pedigrees and it is possible to document how the breed developed.
#11 In May 1964, Bichon owners gathered in San Diego to form a national breed club. The club was named -Bichon Frise Club of America.
#12 The activities of the American Club of the Bichon Frize led to the fact that on September 1, 1971, the breed was admitted to participate in shows in the mixed class.
