#13 After the war, the breed almost disappeared … A huge number of shepherd dogs died in the battles, and the breeders had no time to engage in high-quality breeding. The breed had to be revived almost from the ashes.
#14 The division of Germany, on the other hand, led to the fact that dogs were reborn according to different standards, and several subspecies of the breed appeared.
#15 The exhibitions resumed in 1946, and five years later a new hero appeared at one of them – the champion Rolf von Osnabrücker, the founder of modern “high breeding” lines.
