#5 The Labrador is descended from the Newfoundland. The St. John’s Dog, which can be described as the ancestor of today’s Labrador dog, arose from the breeding.
#6 The second Earl Malmesbury finally gave his name to the Labrador; the breed name became established in North America and eventually throughout the world.
