17 Historical Facts About Shar-Peis You Might Not Know

#13 1976, November 9 – The first CSPCA certified Chinese Shar Pei pedigree is issued. It was received by a dog belonging to Ernest and Madeleine Albright, Down-Homes China Souel, 3 years ago exported from Hong Kong from Matgo Lowe kennel.

#14 1978 – At the popular request of breeders, CSPCA organizes the first specialized Shar Pei Exhibition in Hinckley, Illinois.

#15 1979, February 22 – at the 4th meeting of the CSPCA, the official the name of the breed is “Chinese Shar-Pei”. The first breed standard is adopted.
