18 Breed Reviews: Basset Hound

#10 What a wonderful dog, lovely !!

#11 I want to note that there are just as many problems with these dogs as with representatives of other breeds.

They are not at all worse than the German shepherd and the poodle, the main thing is to start working with the puppy from about four months old. Well, perhaps the only comment to this breed is that it is very, very difficult to re-educate what was formed in childhood. While the puppies are small, you allow them almost everything, walk around the house, sleep on sofas and beds, beg from the table, unfortunately, the Bassets, for the rest of their lives remember that they were allowed to do so, and in the future, they cannot be persuaded. So it is worth remembering that a small puppy on the couch is cute, but a big dog on the couch floor is no longer affectionate.

#12 Bassetts’ nose is always lowered during a walk, they really like to smell everything.
