20 Breed Reviews: Labrador Retriever (Part 2)

#13 Very smart animal

Our treasure joined our family a year ago. The son really wanted a dog. It took me a long time to choose the breed that could best fit into our family and endure all the child's games with steadfastness. I can say that there is no better nanny than a Labrador retriever. We have a small child, 4 years old, together they play with a ball, and with horses, and run for a race, and share toys. If the child is playing and starts tugging at his ears, the dog will not even bark. He will only look at me sadly, as if with a dumb request: "Mom, well, calm him down." In general, the dog has no value.

There are only two problems that we have faced so far: he does not know the measure of food. If food is not rationed and during it is not stopped, it will eat without stopping and will quickly get fat. He especially loves sweets, I understand that he cannot. But he looks with such longing when we sit down to drink tea that it is simply impossible to refuse him. We had a problem at six months, the dog began to get very fat. In just a month, it turned into a ball. I had to drive around the yard for several weeks to get him back in shape.

#14 Dog for family

Always asks to eat. Absolutely. If you do not give food, she herself begins to look for it and it is not a fact that it will turn out to be something really edible. Stupid without proper upbringing
The breed is distinguished by increased cheerfulness and "lovingness". Loves everyone and always, which periodically interferes with training (distracted). However, unlike many breeds, it is easy to train.

#15 Unless he knows how to speak …

Very intelligent, easy to learn, kind, loyal, obedient, playful ...
