Breed Review: Alaskan Klee Kai (20 Pics)

#10 The mask on the face should be clearly visible due to the contrast with the base color.

The head of Kli-kai is proportional to the size of the body, without wrinkles. Eyes are medium in size and can be of any color. Almond-shaped eyes are preferable to oval and round.

Ears are erect, straight, triangular in shape, covered with hair. They are proportional to the head, do not disturb the balance, and have rounded tips.

#11 The tail is fluffy and starts just below the back line.

It can be straight when the dog is relaxed but should curl the rest of the time. Tail plumed on dogs with long hair is allowed.

The double coats of Kli-kai should be long enough to give them a fluffy appearance, but not so long as to obscure their body shape. There are standard coat lengths and long-haired ones.

#12 Both types are valid.

On the neck, it forms a protective mane, and on the tail, it is longer than on the body. The undercoat is soft and dense, the guard hair is straight, hard, but not coarse. Lack of undercoat during shedding is normal. There are three types of colors: black and white, gray and white, and red and white (red and white can be the color of cinnamon or dark chestnut). Life expectancy is 12-15 years.
