#16 Endurance, intelligence, readiness to obey their beloved master allow the Sheltie to learn quickly. They make a great dog for the inexperienced owner.

Shelties are capable of understanding commands the first time and will be happy to repeat actions that have earned the owner's approval.

#17 During training, rudeness and violence are unacceptable, the method of affectionate persuasion will be the best way to educate an obedient dog.

Dogs immediately get used to the schedule and routine at home.

The Sheltie breed is quite easy to care for. Despite its long coat, the dog will do without a rare brushing.

Sheltie puppies need 3-4 meals a day. Older dogs are better off cutting back on their meals.
