The Northern Inuit dog is an unrecognized dog hybrid. The breed, created back in the 1980s, was an attempt to externally bring the domestic dog as close to the wolf as possible. Except as its own club, to date, it has not been recognized by any major kennel club. The breed was bred by crossing Siberian Huskies and German Shepherds. Although the initial breeding took place in Canada, the breed was developed in the UK.

Kind, reliable, family-loving, calm, friendly.
