Top 10 Healthy Homemade Dog Food Recipes For Labrador Retrievers

Today I want to show you some recipes for Labrador Retrievers. In general, it is not difficult for a dog to cook. You just need to know what foods a dog can eat and which are strictly prohibited. Please read on how to feed your dog properly.

It is recommended to make a not too varied diet for the dog and not pamper him with new dishes every day. One has only to decide on the basic recipe for your pet, with which you will prepare the main daily dish.

For daily feeding, it is best to use ingredients such as meat, vegetables, cereals, oils, and herbs. Well, you will have to feed the dog with fish, cottage cheese, and other useful and necessary (but not for everyday feeding) products at your discretion.

Recipes for dogs can be quite varied. I would like to share some of them. Ingredients may vary depending on the season. Sometimes, I add bell pepper, replace the zucchini with pumpkin, and rice with buckwheat, and so on.

Porridge with beef heart and vegetables

This dish, which is easy to prepare, contains all the vitamins and microelements necessary for a Labrador. To prepare a treat, prepare the following ingredients according to the list:

Ingredients:

a kilogram of beef heart;

150 grams of rice;

1 carrot;

0.5 medium zucchini;

a pinch of greens;

a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Directions:

Boil the beef heart for an hour over low heat.

While the heart is preparing, chop the vegetables and herbs according to the recipe into small cubes. Do not grind them, as the pieces of vegetables perfectly clean your pet’s teeth.

Put the boiled heart out of the pan, then drain two-thirds of the liquid from the dishes. Mix the remaining broth with water and cook rice porridge in the diluted broth.

While the porridge is being prepared, take the boiled heart and cut it into small cubes. They should be the same size as the vegetable pieces. If you cut the heart too coarsely, the chances are that the dog will choose by-product, leaving out the vegetables.

When the rice is cooked, it needs to be mixed with the heart. When the porridge has cooled to room temperature, add vegetables and vegetable oil and stir the dish thoroughly.
Porridge with beef heart and vegetables is ready.
