Border Collies are extremely active dogs, they just need to move a lot. They love to run. They also need enough attention from the owners and something to do, from guarding the herd to playing with the ball.
Border Collies need to be socialized from an early age so that they do not feel shy in the presence of strangers; they also need to cultivate obedience to keep them from grabbing people by the legs and running and chasing cars.
