The English Springer Spaniel is the tallest among its relatives and differs markedly in constitution from the cockers with whom it has a distant common ancestor. The dog has a light type of constitution, differs in proportionality, compactness of all members. The average height at the withers is 48-51 cm with a weight of 23 kg. Breeders note that hunting dogs are more muscular and are slightly shorter than show dogs.
