Breed Review: Himalayan Сat (14 Pics)

#4 At first glance, a Himalayan is a typical Persian who decided to disguise himself as a Siamese.

Blue eyes to animals also passed from the representatives of the oriental group. Actually, the breed is most often identified by the color of the iris. The general fatness of the constitution, bordering on the average degree of obesity, is nothing more than an optical illusion created by the voluminous hair of the cat. Under its "fur coat" the Himalayan hides quite average dimensions and moderate stockiness of build.

#5 Officially, the breed is bred in two lines.

The first is the classic Persian type, whose representatives have delicate doll-like "faces" with a short, but not too upturned nose. The second variety is the so-called Peking (Pekingese) Himalayas, which have more flattened muzzles of an emphasized brachycephalic type. In recent years, there has been a tendency to the externalization of the exterior characteristics of the family, therefore, cats with hyperbolized round eyes and snub noses most often get into the show class.

#6 By nature, the Himalayas are more imposing Persians than willful Siamese, so in everyday life these comrades behave neatly and peacefully.

True, from time to time "inspiration" descends on the cat, and then the fluffy darling begins to hunt for petty hooliganism. Therefore, more often remember the episode from the comedy with Ben Stiller, where the Himalayan outlaw flushes his tired doggie down the toilet and watches for changes in the mood of the ward.
