The Keeshond is a natural, beautiful dog with a short, well-balanced body. It differs not only (the text does not make sense) for its cheerfulness and intelligent expression, but also for its firm coat, fox expression, small pointed ears, and a very lush tail slightly curled towards the back. They have a collar around the neck, on the shoulders, and on the chest, which is most common in males. The back of the body is densely covered with hair up to the forepaws, forming characteristic “trousers”. A dense, short coat covers the head, ears, and feet.

The body is compact. The back is short and straight. The line of defense slopes slightly down towards the back of the body. The loin is short. The chest is deep and strong, grooved. The belly is rounded. The abdomen is moderately tucked up.

The temperament is very fair. Keeshonds are sociable and friendly to people and other dogs. It is a lively, intelligent, cheerful, and affectionate companion. The appearance of Keeshond mainly depends on the combination of spots and shades in the eye area. They should include a thin dark line at the outer corner of each eye, extending to the bottom corner of each ear. The eyebrows are also pronounced. Shades on the face and head should create a pleasant appearance and indicate that the dog is alert and intelligent.
