17 Breed Reviews: Alaskan Malamute

#7 Loyal and affectionate friend

This breed is kind. They do not bark but howl since they have roots from a wolf. And outwardly, the dog is very similar to the wolf.

#8 Very beautiful and intelligent dog

Not so long ago we became the owners of a charming dog of the Alaskan Malamute breed, this is a very friendly, large, strong, sociable dog that always needs human attention. Possesses amazing intelligence and stubbornness. Loves to be in the spotlight, loves to play active games with young children. The character is very stubborn and intelligent, therefore he lends itself to training with some difficulty, he just gets bored with training, he needs constant movement, but he is able to memorize commands from the first time, sometimes he can be offended if something does not understand him as a person. The awful cleanliness even cleans up after himself in the aviary.

#9 Malamute is a dog worthy of a good friend.

Friendly, active, hardworking, intelligent, understanding, emotional, talkative, beautiful, no smell of wool, strong, freedom-loving, prone to excavation and damage to furniture.

  1. Not a very accurate overview of Alaskan Malamutes unfortunately. Didn’t even mention the COPIOUS shedding that occurs twice a year, their predatory nature, their independent and stubborn streak that makes them totally unreliable off leash, etc. This is a working dog with traits that made it suitable to work long and hard in one of the harshest environments on earth!
