A rare and sincere story about how a sparrow chick in trouble survived thanks to people.
Once, after a stormy night, we found a sparrow chick on the ground under our balcony. He was very small, still blind, and at first it seemed to us that he was dead.
But he turned out to be alive, and we brought him home and put him in a box in our room. We tried to feed him but to no avail. And when he started tweeting loudly, we carried the box out onto the balcony.
He did not stop chirping for three hours in a row and, finally, another sparrow flew to our balcony – the chick’s father, who began to feed him. Every 15 minutes he brought him bugs and bread crumbs.
So the parent fed him for two weeks.
The chick grew noticeably and got stronger, but still remained blind.
We went to the veterinarian who prescribed eye drops for our pet.
Soon the sparrow recovered completely and began to play with us, hiding behind the flowers that stood in pots on the balcony.
The father continued to visit the chick and once showed him how to fly out of the open window.
We knew that this moment would come, that he would recover and leave us.
But we were very worried, because when he flew away, the terrible weather began again, which lasted for several more days.
How pleasantly surprised we were when our sparrow returned to us. We found him on the balcony sleeping peacefully among his favorite flowers.
