Tamaskan Dog

The Tamaskan dog is a type of sled dog originating from Finland and still not recognized by any of the cynological federations. A versatile dog that excels in agility, obedience and performs well in working trials. It inherited its ability to work in a team from its ancestors, the Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute. In its morphology, the Tamaskan dog breed is most similar to a wolf. Although there are only 400 registered Tamaskan dogs worldwide, interest in the breed has led to its spread throughout continental Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and Canada. They are large and athletic dogs, slightly taller than the German Shepherd. In terms of their constitution, they are slightly larger than Siberian huskies but smaller than Alaskan Malamutes. Usually, they look like gray wolves.
