Because of their soft nature, the representatives of this breed get along well with children, allow them pranks, to which they react calmly, and do not take offense. They easily find contact with other pets in the house.
Since the Ural Rex is a natural breed, its representatives do not suffer from genetic diseases. They are quite unpretentious to care for, have good immunity, and resistant to colds.
Due to its unusual structure, the wool can clog into lumps, so it must be carefully monitored and regularly combed out, and even plucked, especially during the shedding period. And to make the coat shine, the cat can be ironed with a silk or suede cloth.
These cats have very sensitive and thin skin that dries out and flakes easily, which is why you should carefully choose hygiene products and not abuse bathing. In addition, the pet may develop an allergy to detergents, so the shampoo should be hypoallergenic. If the pet participates in exhibitions, it is advisable to wash it two weeks before the event.
In food, the Ural Rex is unpretentious and has a good appetite, therefore, the size of the portions consumed should be controlled in order to prevent pet obesity.
Representatives of this breed do not need any special conditions of detention, they feel great in an apartment and do not need walks. The main thing is not to leave them alone for a long time, but even in this case, you can not worry: even suffering from melancholy, the Ural Rex will never make a mess in the house and will not take revenge on the owner.
