The Kai Leo breed was bred relatively recently – in 1950. The ancestors of the breed were the Maltese and the Lhaski Apso. The breed was established in 1972 but remains very rare to this day. Kai Leo is a small lap dog, very gentle and affectionate, kind to people. A dog needs love and care, it cannot go for a long time without contact with its owner. The dog is sociable, but he is wary of strangers, he is afraid of them. The dog gets along well with other pets.
