Dogo Argentino

Dogo Argentino is a representative of large-breed hunting and fighting dogs. Large and powerful, with a broad chest and prominent muscles, an excellent sprinter. Early intensive socialization of the dog and training in unquestioning obedience is an absolute must. The Dogo Argentino is a large, white, short-haired dog with a muscular, powerful, athletic torso. The length of the body is slightly greater than the height at the withers; females, in contrast to males, are of a more elongated format. The forelegs are in length (proportions measured from the highest point of the withers to the base) equal to half the height of the dog at the withers. The head is powerful with a broad, slightly arched skull and a powerful muzzle. As seen in the profile, it is slightly raised above the level of the nasal bridge. Ears set high, erect (cropped), or drooping (uncropped). Dogo Argentino should be judged as a hunting dog, excessiveness or deficiencies are punished exactly to the extent that they affect its working qualities.

Loving, friendly, loyal, cheerful, tolerant protective dog.
