The Shiloh Shepherd Dog is currently a rather rare breed, which is still being formed. It has not yet been recognized as an independent breed by any major cynological club, but it can already participate in the dog shows. The back is larger and more straight than that of modern East European and German Shepherds. In the breeding program, the emphasis was on intelligence, a stable psyche, and the size of the future breed. Coat color varies. It can compete with other shepherd dogs in such qualities like obedience, agility, and herding skills. It produces therapy dogs, rescuers and search dogs, assistants in grazing, guarding, and protecting livestock.
Sociable, friendly, trainable, loyal, loving, affectionate.
