Top 10 Healthy Homemade Dog Food Recipes Your Beagle Will Love

We offer you recipes for feeding healthy adult dogs without food allergies. The amount of feed depends on the weight of the animal, the age, breed, and physiological condition of your pet. It is advisable to give the dog freshly prepared food.

A mix of meat and rice with vegetables

Ingredients:

450 grams of lean meat (chicken, turkey, lamb, occasionally beef)
2 cups cooked brown rice
1 glass of boiled oatmeal
1 glass of barley porridge
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup finely chopped vegetables (of your choice)

  • vitamin and mineral supplement;
  • herbal supplements (alfalfa, red clover, dandelion, echinacea);
  • sprouted grains of rye, wheat, barley, oats;
  • brown seaweed;
  • Brewer’s yeast;
  • cranberries or lingonberries;
  • grated apple;
  • crushed rose hips.

A mixture of “Nourishing”

Ingredients:

450 grams of lean meat (chicken, turkey, lamb)
1 potato tuber
2 cups cooked brown rice
1/2 cup boiled oatmeal
1/2 cup barley porridge
1/2 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup finely chopped vegetables (broccoli, spinach, green beans)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic

Cut the meat into small pieces, fry to melt excess fat from it, cool. Boil the potatoes, crush, mix all the ingredients.

Store the mixture in a refrigerator in a closed container for no more than two days. For longer storage, the mixture can be frozen by first dividing it into portions. Defrost no more than two servings per day.

  • When feeding, add to the mixture:
  • yogurt (a teaspoon for miniature breeds, a tablespoon for medium-sized breeds);
  • vitamin and mineral supplement;
  • herbal supplements (alfalfa, red clover, dandelion, echinacea);
  • grain additives (sprouted grains of rye, wheat, barley, oats);
  • brown seaweed.

Sprouted Grain Blend

Ingredients:

1 cup lean meat, chopped (excluding pork)
1 cup sprouted wheat or rye
1 cup grated vegetables or fruits
1-2 tablespoons of unrefined sunflower or olive oil
1 clove of garlic, crushed
chopped parsley (optional)

Mix the indicated ingredients. Store the mixture in a refrigerator in a closed container for no more than two days.

To get a glass of sprouted grains of wheat, pour 6 tablespoons of grains overnight with unboiled water. Drain the water in the morning, leave the grains at room temperature until evening, and then refill with water. Repeat the operation. On the third day, sprouted grains can be added to food.

A cereal supplement can be obtained in another way. To do this, coarsely grind the grains of wheat, rye, oats, or oatmeal (you can use a coffee grinder). Pour the mixture with unboiled water so that thick gruel forms, keep it for 5-8 hours. You can add whole buckwheat and millet to the mixture.

As vegetable and fruit supplements, you can use:

  • root crops: carrots, beets, sugar beets, Jerusalem artichoke, parsnips;
  • vegetables: lettuce, spinach, kohlrabi, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers;
  • fruits: apples, pears, bananas, grapes.

Offal with vegetables

Ingredients:

150 grams of poultry offal
100 grams of mixed vegetables (carrots, celery, parsley root, cabbage)
1/2 teaspoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon grated hard cheese

Rinse the offal, cook until half cooked in slightly salted water, remove from the broth, discard in a colander, let the broth drain. Finely chop the offal or mince it.

Finely chop the vegetables, cook in broth until softened, add tomato paste, bring to a boil and remove from heat.

Pour hot soup into a bowl, chop vegetables with a fork, add grated cheese, offal.

Vegetables with meat

  1. Ingredients:

Carrots (cauliflower or broccoli can be used instead of carrots) + beef (or chicken breast) + rice (or buckwheat)

Directions:

  1. The beef is boiled, removed, and cut into small pieces

Ingredients:

  • 1 pate
  • 1 egg
  • cornflour

Ingredients:

2/3 cup finely chopped or minced medium-fat meat or the same amount of offal, tongues, heart, fish, poultry, cheese, or eggs;

1/3 cup dry rice

1/6 of the liver, cut into cubes (side length 5 mm);

a teaspoon of corn oil or margarine, chicken, beef, or other animal fat;

a teaspoon of a bone meal; 1/2 teaspoon of iodine salt, 1-1.5 cups of water.

Directions:

Pour oil or fat, salt, garlic with water. Bring to a boil and leave on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in bone meal, add meat, and liver. Keep on low heat for another 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Soup with meatballs “Mon Ami”

Ingredients:

1/4 cup minced beef

1/4 cup ground turkey

2 tablespoons oatmeal

2 teaspoons finely chopped greens, 1 egg,

1/4 cup yogurt

2 teaspoons of onions

2 glasses of water.

2 tablespoons of sifted wheat bran.

Directions:

Mix the meat and minced meat with a teaspoon of onions, oatmeal, a teaspoon of herbs, and protein. Add salt or dry seaweed.   1. Akc.org states that garlic and onions are toxic to dogs. I would really hate to see dogs get sick from eating these recipes. Before you feed your dogs, you should always check with google or your vet first.
