The pug is a very ancient and famous breed all over the world. How these dogs originated is still unclear. But, perhaps, they were obtained by crossing other breeds in ancient China, during the Han dynasty. That is, the pug breed is at least about 2000 years old, and this, you see, the numbers are impressive. Throughout the centuries of their history in China, pugs and their ancient vine ancestors have enjoyed a privileged position.
They were considered a royal breed, and therefore these dogs have always been surrounded by luxury and prosperity. Now it is difficult for us to imagine, but often several pugs could live in special apartments, they had special servants, moreover, such a room was strictly guarded.
