Bull Terriers are strong, sociable, and good-natured dogs, which today are presented in two categories – standard and miniature. This breed cannot be called “pure”: it appeared thanks to a mixture of the English Bulldog and the English White Terrier. Bull Terriers have inherited both the calm, friendly character of the bulldog and the ardent, energetic temperament of the terrier.
Representatives of the breed, due to their short hair, need the simplest care. Their average life expectancy is 11-13 years. Bull Terriers are characterized by a number of hereditary pathologies – OCD, lethal acrodermatitis, congenital deafness, patellar dislocation, problems with the cardiac and vascular system. To “heal” the breed, they practice hybrid breeding of bull terriers. The so-called “hybrid energy” can improve the health of future generations of the breed.
