The Doberman is a large dog with a muscular but slender build, giving the impression of a collected, dynamic, active animal. In the judging exhibition evaluation, the harmony of the animal’s constitution and the clarity of the silhouette lines play an important role.
For dogs of this breed, pronounced gender dimorphism is characteristic – males are much larger than females and have an almost square body format with a pronounced back inclination, while females have a more elongated format, lighter and leaner constitution, the back slope is weakly expressed.
