The Wounded Elephant Came to People for Help

At the Bumi Hills Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe, an elephant shot by poachers came to people for help. Tourists and staff were a little scared when they saw a large animal, but then they saw wounds on its body.

The veterinarian found and removed the bullet from the animal’s shoulder, and also treated other wounds on its body. Bullet marks were also found in the ears of the animal. A special transmitter was placed on the body of the elephant, allowing it to track its location and health.
