15 Breed Reviews: Shiba Inu

Shiba Inu is an energetic, cheerful miniature dog with a fox face and a funny tail. One of the most popular dog breeds in Japan, recognized as a national treasure. This dog is a dexterous hunter, a responsible watchman, an excellent athlete, and a devoted friend.

Let’s see what Shiba Inu owners think of this breed.

#1 The best friend!

A year and a half ago a dog appeared in our family! As always, it took a long time to choose! The alternatives were Basenji and Miniature Pinscher.

Siba's advantage initially was her appearance 🙂 like a fox, a small strong samurai with slanting Japanese eyes!

The dog is difficult to train, but very clean and quickly got used to doing "business" where necessary!

Very energetic and active, but, at the same time, does not require a lot of space!

The dog got along well with the cat and the cat, and later reacted with great love to the appearance of the baby in our house!

#2 My favorite dog!

Shiba is a very smart dog. He perfectly understands what you demand and want from him. Never doubt his intellectual ability. But if you read him something and he doesn’t do it, it doesn’t mean that he’s stupid, he just doesn’t want to, but he understood you!

#3 Little nimble curious home “fox”, or rather, a brazen red-haired joyful muzzle!

For the first year, everything that a curious nose could reach in our absence was devoured and gnawed. We are working people, as many dog lovers. Moreover, we walked that then, which is now decent. Well, this is all the first year, they brought up and studied decently. Now, three years later, the dog is running from time to time, but we are used to it. It takes love, patience, and education.

Despite this, the dog is very smart, he is always with us - he looks, observes, everything is interesting to him, no matter what we do. He has his own opinion - he loves to play ball very much, easily mastered commands, loves children and people, quickly got used to walking on the street, with him I get up in the summer and meet all the sunrises, well, and bad weather. Likes to sleep on the floor or on the balcony in winter, the fur coat allows. Not accustomed to the sofa. Very clean.
