The pug is a very ancient and world-famous breed. How these dogs originated is still unclear. But, perhaps, they were obtained by crossing other breeds in ancient China, during the Han dynasty. That is, the pug breed is at least about 2000 years old, and this, you see, is impressive numbers. For many centuries of their history in China, pugs and their ancient vine ancestors have enjoyed a privileged position.
