The Dog Came After a Walk with an Unusual Friend

Kerry McKinnon from Australia has a dog – the golden retriever Asha. One morning, her husband called Kerry to the porch to see the amazing phenomenon.

Asha sat at the threshold with a guilty look, and a small koala cub clung to her side. It looks like the baby was lost, and the dog found him, warmed him, and protected him from predators, but did not know how the owners would react to such a surprise.

It took a long time to tear the frightened and frozen cub away from Asha in order to wrap it in a towel and warm it up.

Then the koala was taken to the veterinarians, who found that everything was in order with the baby and left him under the care of local animal rights activists. When the koala grows up, they plan to return it to nature. But Kerry thinks that the cub would be better off with her and the dog.
