Today I want to tell you about a wonderful dog named Sam. The breed is the Tibetan Mastiff. He was very cute as a puppy, just like a little bear cub.
He loved to be mischievous – to gnaw wallpaper, furniture, and everything he could reach.
Sam grew up into a handsome dog.
By nature, this is a calm, restrained dog. It combines well the ability to be a strict guard and a good friend.
Tibetan Mastiffs are large dogs, weight can reach 60-70 kg. But despite this, they are very mobile and can overcome any obstacles on the way. Sam is a big fan of digging into neighbors, so you often have to keep him on a chain.
Mastiffs have thick hair and a good undercoat, so they are able to sleep in the open air even in severe frosts. It is extremely rare to see him in the booth, mostly he goes there only in the rain or a strong blizzard.
His character is very wayward and independent, he likes to be treated as an equal. The owner of such a dog must have vivid qualities of a leader, observe discipline, otherwise, the mastiff can become uncontrollable.
It is also important for what purpose such a breed is started. If it is assumed that the dog will attend exhibitions, then it is necessary to engage in its socialization early. They are very wary of strangers. Sam is really an excellent guard, on guard day and night. He completely does not recognize outsiders, is incorruptible.
With the owners, he behaves like a big puppy, loves very much to be stroked, played with him. Despite its size, he plays with children affectionately and carefully, and will never offend them. Do not show aggression even if you accidentally hurt something.
Able to train, know several commands.
Eats both food and porridge with meat.
Good contact with animals that live nearby. He has a childhood friend, Sema the cat, with whom they are not averse to playing.
Keeping such dogs is certainly better in a private house.
All in all, this is a wonderful breed! The dogs are beautiful, big, loyal, and intelligent.
