#4 The length of the fur varies on the body. Some Pems have fluffy fur – long with excessive feathering on the ears, chest, legs and paws.
#5 Many Pembrokes have what is called a “fairy saddle” on their back.
This marking, created by a change in the density and direction of the streaks of hair, takes its name from legend: according to legend, fairies rode Pembrokes in their homeland of the Welsh countryside.
#6 Pembrokes are easy to groom, but shedding can become a problem if not brushed regularly, especially during increased seasonal shedding.
When they shed the most, daily brushing is recommended. They only need brushing as needed, but many people find that regular bathing helps control the shedding.
