Akita Inu care is not very difficult. The wool is combed out several times a week. Bathe the dog as it gets dirty or a couple of times a year.
An important part of caring for an Akita is proper walking. It is imperative to ensure that the Akita is able to actively walk. It is good if you are not alien to playing sports and you are an active, mobile person. Akita Inu will be happy to accompany you during your morning jog or bike ride.
If you prefer to suffer from physical inactivity – at least teach your pet to retrieve. He will happily rush for a thrown stick or ball.
