Breed Characteristics
The English Cocker Spaniel is 38-41 cm tall and weighs 11-14 kg. He has a flat-lying, silky shiny coat. It is soft and dense, with very short fur on the head but long on the chest, belly, legs, and tail. The coat color is brown, red, orange roan, and brown roan.

His coat should be brushed regularly for 10 to 15 minutes a week to avoid the hardening of the coat.
History and Development
The English Cocker Spaniel is descended from the Spanish Spaniel dog, which was first sighted before the 17th century. In the late 19th century, the Cocker and Springer Spaniels were separated and bred for different characteristics and sizes. The Cocker has been recognized as the perfect hunting dog.
